First things first I'm the realest.. Hahaha jks. Well for all I know my second semester has been very hectic as well as dangerous. I'm getting lazy and there's been a lot of things I'm getting involved with so.... Lets begin!
First things first is having the greatest honour to meet Mr. Tony Blair for the first time of my life. I didn't expect that, but I guess life has the need to be unexpected right? :)
He gave a speech about The Opportunities & Challenges of Globalization and trust me, this man is good at what he does. Its actually something I wish I can do. :) I wish my brain could work so quickly. Heheh I'm just.. SLOW.
Apart from that, my family and I also celebrated Adam's birthday. Minion style. :) I'm not even kidding. I spent so much money on the outfit just to be a minion on that day. Walking around saying "Banana" to every single person in the party just to make it happening. I find myself rather awkward but hey, who cares man. Awkwardness is fine.
There's like 100 cupcakes minion styled and seriously, it was a tough time. Honestly, I name it hardwork pay off. It was a great thing and I hope when Adam looks back to his childhood, He's remember that his Aunt actually made an effort to make him a wonderful story to tell. :)
And the last happening thing would be the Malaysia Day Prayer Celebration. That was one of a celebration that overwhelms me in the most unbelievable way. One by one k.. I need to contain my excitement! :)
The celebration was held in this place called Calvary Convention Centre. Probably can hold up to 5000 people at least. Honestly it was overwhelming because of two things. First is how people would sacrifice their holiday to come here to pray for the country and second, how people of all different denomination would come together as one to pray. Its true unity in my opinion. :')
People with different mother tongue, of different races all come together to pray for that one country we love no matter what opinions we have individually. We come together to pray for the good of the country. Its an honour because knowing that there are still people who cares for the country. :)
I'm proud and I'm actually hopeful after attending this. I believe that maybe some day our hope can bring people of different beliefs together. People of different races and gender can all be united just like how we came together not knowing each other but still gave each other our trust and hope for our country. We came not knowing anyone but we left knowing the one thing that matters most, is that we care for our country and we are hopeful that our prayers will be answered.
That's something I found and I brought home after that prayer celebration. I'm proud to be a Malaysian and I believe there will be a day where our voices will be heard. Each and everyone in the country will be given the opportunity to be who they can be. I'm hopeful and I believe that day will come. I believe I will live to see that day. :)
