It took me quite a while to decide to write about this. I did some reading (quite a lot) on this because I didn't want to write something that cannot truly connect with readers.
Today, I'd like to talk about the LGBT community. Yes, I understand that the Christian community has been throwing statements about how people in the LGBT community are sinners and will therefore go to hell. We are all well aware of that, I think? Everyone in the Christian community are praying against it and some has been saying things that really hurts.
You see, I don't disagree about it being a sin. Yes, homosexuality or whatever related to such in the bible context is a sin and no I'm not going to provide links to support this statement. You can ask Google about it and you'll have many opinions from various people who are more qualified than I am. I need to clarify this, I. AM. NOT. HERE. TO. CONDEMN.
Dear LGBT community, before I continue I must say I am so sorry. I am so sorry for not standing up for you like Jesus did for that woman who committed adultery.

Dear LGBT community, before I continue I must say I am so sorry. I am so sorry for not standing up for you like Jesus did for that woman who committed adultery.
I am sinner. Everyone else is a sinner too.
I am only worthy because JESUS SAVED ME.
Even though I did not cast the first stone, I silenced myself and caused you oppression. I am so sorry for that.
I am a Christian. I dedicate my life to Jesus and I try my utmost best to be like him. I serve in the church so I could make a difference in the lives of people and hope that one day they'd turn to Jesus. So that they could "Go and sin no more." and be free.
I did all of that but I have forgotten that only the sick will need the the doctor. I have forgotten how Jesus was with sinners but loved each one of them. He respected them with love and freed them from their insecurities. He gave them hope that they lost within them.
He gave them faith that IT IS OKAY TO BE IMPERFECT AS LONG AS YOU HAVE ME.
As a result, his love saved me today. His love gave me a chance to reconnect with God once again and I made the choice to change.
I am not perfect. But its okay, because I have Him.
Because we are imperfect, we tend to enjoy pointing out our differences. We oppress, isolate and condemn people who are in need of God's love. We take away our compassion and segregate them as 'them'.
Jesus never stop loving the 'sinners' but I did, or rather we did.
Dear LGBT Community, I still do not understand how your sexual orientation works. But I am sure of one thing, I respect you and I love you as you are because Jesus loved me as I am.
I cannot tell if it is your choice to be this way. I don't want to know because it is irrelevant. And besides, whatever you do, you are still a sinner anyway. We're all on the same boat. :)
But I do know, that your relationship with Jesus is personal and he is always accepting if you're willing.
A sin is a sin, whether big or small it is still unpleasant to God. But don't let your imperfections take you away. Just give him the opportunity to be by your side.
Love,
